Ready To Be The Change? Can you Handle it?

Are you good at handling change?

Do you like it?

I don’t believe I’ve met anyone (yet) that really thrives on change. Sure, many of us love variety and things to be different, but not many of us thrive on change.

and some of us are better at dealing with it than others. Typically those that have gone through the most change know HOW to deal with it……or at least survive it.

I’ve been experiencing some change in my life that I believe to be life altering.  Not in the typical sense you might think, but change that is plotting a new direction for my life.

Stargate Portal Mindshift Happening

Stargate Portal Mindshift Happening

Stargate: One of my favorite Sci-fi t.v. Series.

If you are familiar with Stargate Atlantis, or Stargate SG1, then you have seen the portal.  It’s a way they travel world to world, galaxy to galaxy and many times, they can be seen arriving in some beautiful unknown world to explore.

From what I recall, they knew where they wanted to go, set coordinates on the portal, and headed to their destination for some specific purpose.

Typically, there was some kind of obstacle or challenge that popped up to get them off course.  Fighting with aliens, jumper malfunction, or getting captured and detained.

So why am I blogging about a Stargate Portal and talking about a mindshift?

Have you ever been at a place in your life where everything in your life was utter Chaos?

I have…and it’s when the cash flow wasn’t happening in my life.

You know the deal….money is tough and short and every bill, car repair, hospital visit, etc. seems to show up just then, all at the same time.

I been in the lowest place where I’ve cashed in every coin I could find, scrapped every piece of metal, aluminum, and can I could find, re-gifted Christmas presents to my young daughter and bought Christmas at Goodwill and $.99 store.

Suddenly, back in 2012, Chaos turned into Cash flow!

Life changed and it was incredible….

Freedom day: Breakfast in the Park

Freedom day: Breakfast in the Park

After dropping my daughter off for camp today. 

I sat in this beautiful park, with nature all around me, I really felt peaceful and grateful for the freedom to enjoy something so simple (and free).

It occurred to me that some parents were not able to drop their kids off and be with them this morning because they had jobs to get to.  Some parents had to drop the kids off and rush off to the job.

I enjoyed the freedom to take my daughter, hangout with her, take pictures, see her off, head to a park and eat yogurt, then head off to a hair appointment, and then run other errands before heading home to enjoy some lunch and work.

Instead of working my business in the morning like I normally do, I switched up my routine and worked in the afternoon instead (before I jumped in my pool)

That is FREEDOM to me!

I get to choose what I do, when I do it, with who I do it with and for how long!

Does it get any better than that?

I don’t think so.

After getting back from an incredible event in San Diego on personal development, I realized I was tired.  Surprised me really!

I had such a great time in San Diego, heard many speakers, networked with many great people, was on the go from 6:00 am to about Midnight daily, but when I got home, I was beat!

Burn out in my life is not a new thing for me. It’s been an area that I have been learning to better manage as I learn to take better care of myself.
